Shifting Realities

This photographic series was entirely captured using an iPhone during a trip to New York in 2024. The goal was not to document the city in a traditional manner, but to visually translate the personal mood and atmosphere experienced on-site.By utilizing the natural reflections of rain and glass combined with a deliberate 180-degree inversion, the compositions tilt the urban space. This stylistic choice transforms rigid architecture and street movement into an alternate visual reality, exploring the delicate boundary between what is seen and what is felt.

Captured over just a few days of heavy rainfall in May 2024, this raw iPhone sequence flips the New York cityscape upside down, transforming ordinary puddles into portals of a parallel dimension. It was my way to express the feeling of a shifting world around me or maybe a state within me.
